Konnect FAQs2022-06-02T22:15:09-04:00
What is the dress code?2022-06-02T20:28:03-04:00

We want you to be comfortable and recommend a casual style of dressing. Keep the pajamas in the cabin and use these guidelines when considering what to pack for the times we are in a group setting.

For Him: Think Homer Simpson. Tee shirt, jeans and sneakers are appropriate. You may also opt to step it up a notch with khakis, cargos, a polo shirt or henley and still fit in just fine. Tip: Avoid inflammatory or otherwise offensive graphic tees.

For Her: Pull out your favorite jeans! You can opt for a comfortable tee or dress things up a bit with a stylish top, jewelry or a cardigan. For footwear, think practical over stylish.

How will meals work?2022-06-02T20:32:05-04:00

We will have coffee, drinks and snacks available throughout the retreat. You should plan to have dinner before you arrive on Friday. Saturday you will be served three meals. Breakfast will be provided Sunday.

Please let us know on the registration form if you have food sensitivities.

What type of weather should I expect?2022-06-02T20:37:47-04:00

Early October is typically cool in the mornings and gets comfortable (mid-70s) by early afternoon. It’s South Carolina, so we likely won’t have extreme cold, but we could have extreme heat. Please keep an eye on the forecast as the event approaches.

Most of our sessions will be done indoors but we do have some planned and free-time activities that are outdoors.

Is KONNECT a faith based retreat?2022-06-02T20:19:54-04:00

The KONNECT Retreat is planned by people that have committed their lives to follow Christ and find their strength and comfort in that faith. Because of that, much of the content will be from a Christian perspective. Men and women of all faiths or those that don’t ascribe to any faith are welcome to attend. You will not be singled out. Instead you will be made to feel welcome, comfortable and refreshed. All adults are welcome!

Will training certificates be provided?2022-06-02T20:41:37-04:00

Do I have to stay on-site?2022-06-02T20:21:54-04:00

While we won’t require you to stay with us on-site, we strongly encourage it. We don’t want you to miss out on any of the wonderful experiences we have planned.

No discounts will be given for those that opt to stay off-site.

Why can I only register one person at a time?2022-06-02T21:24:41-04:00

We know it may be a hassle, but due to some limitations in our software we have to limit the form to one per person. If you are trying to register multiple people and need our help in doing so, please contact us at info@karsonsproject.org and we will try to accommodate you.

What are some options for our free time?2022-06-02T21:34:48-04:00

Bethelwoods is a great property that has lots of fun recreation options. Check out their site to see some of their offerings. https://www.bethelwoods.org/activites.html

We also have built in free time to connect with others and rest. We encourage you to spend time in nature (weather permitting) and journal, read, hike, or whatever may serve you best.

We want this to be your time to use to refuel in whichever way is best for you.

Can I bring my children?2022-06-02T20:16:38-04:00

We will not have accommodations for babies or children. We hope this time away from parenting will be a time of retreat and renewal for you. We are praying for an abundance of loving childcare options to be available for your family.
